 Today Zaporizhstal is an industrial giant, whose products are well-known in more than 100 countries of the world. Its production volume lists it into the five largest enterprises of Ukraine. The Works is the producer of high-quality metal products, such as pig-iron, steel, sheets of carbon, low-alloy, alloy and stainless steels, cold-rolled formed sections, tinplate, building materials and consumer goods.
The Works is one of the basic suppliers of rolled sheets and cold-rolled formed sections for the Ukrainian machine-building industry and tinplate for the food industry. The international recognition and respect which Zaporizhstal enjoys in the business world, is confirmed by numerous international and national prizes and awards for competitive and qualitative products, and also for integration into the world economy.
Today special attention is given to the quality of the produced products. For this purpose observance control of the set technologies at all the production stages, and also to the quality of supplied raw material, materials and shipped products, is carried out. The Integrated Management System of quality, environmental protection and labour safety in correspondence with the requirements of international standards ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2006, OHSAS 18001:2007 was implemented on September 3, 2008. The Integrated Management System of quality, environmental protection and labour safety was created on the basis of the TQM system according to the international standards series ISO 9000 functioning at the Works since May 1, 2003.
The main meaning of its functioning is expressed in the short motto: “Prosperity and well-being of the Works via quality of the products without detriment to the health of the personnel and the environment.” A technical modernization program till 2020 has been worked out. The stipulated measures are directed towards improvement of the quality and competitiveness of products, renewing of the fixed capital, introduction of the newest technologies, widening of the range of products, protection of the environment and economy of material-raw and power resources. |
